The Athletic reported that the restructuring of Manchester City coaches continues, and they poached analyst James French from Liverpool, who has been working for 13 years.
Born in Portugal, French has been an opponent analyst at Liverpool since 2012. He will be a set piece coach at Manchester City and be responsible for analysis related work. He initially joined Liverpool during his time as Rodgers, and later became a core member of the club's analysis department under Klopp and Slot. He has said goodbye to his colleagues at Anfield after his recent Premier League title celebration.
French will reunite with Linders at Manchester City, who is about to become Guardiola's new assistant coach.
