According to reporter Gastón Edul, Manchester United has been eager to introduce Villa goalkeeper Martin this summer.

The reporter revealed: "Manchester United has wanted Martin from the first day of this summer's transfer window. The contract agreement with him is not a problem. But Manchester United needs to reach an agreement with Aston Villa. No progress has been made in this matter yet."

32-year-old Martin plays as goalkeeper, currently worth 20 million euros, and the contract expires in 2029.
