According to the local Polish media "Przegląd Sportowy Onenet", former England coach Southgate plans to end his unemployment and hopes to take over the Polish national team.

Former Polish coach Probildz was unable to withstand the pressure after depriving the captain Lewandowski's armband and finally chose to resign. The Polish Football Association has received a proposal to hire Southgate. The report learned that the chairman of the Polish Football Association had already started the coach selection work after Probildz left office, and Urawa Red Diamond coach Skorza and others were previously candidates. Belica, Klose and others are candidates for foreign coaches. However, none of the above candidates can be compared with Southgate, who has expressed his hope to coach the Polish national team.

After nearly a year of unemployment, Southgate intends to return to coaching. According to the media, his offer of employment has been submitted to the Polish Football Association. And this is not a recommendation from the agent, but Southgate himself. However, due to the huge salary barrier, Poland's hopes of hiring Southgate are actually very slim. If Southgate takes over Poland, he will have to significantly lower his salary requirements. His previous annual salary in England was 5 million pounds, twice the highest salary of the Polish head coach.
