Liverpool striker Jota died in a traffic accident in a Lamborghini at the age of 28. The Sun reported that Lamborghini issued a statement on the car accident and expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims.
Lamborghini said: "We are deeply saddened to learn that an accident involving a Lamborghini vehicle occurred in Spain, resulting in the unfortunate death of Diogo and Andre Jota. In this extremely sad time, we extend our sincerest condolences to their families."
It is reported that Jota may have suffered a tire burst, causing his Lamborghini to run out of control and catch a fire. The remains of Jota and Andre will be sent to their hometown of Gondomar, with funerals held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the local church.
