Dogs are one of the pets kept by many people nowadays. Dogs are innocent and cute and very popular. However, there are also many irresponsible owners who abandon their dogs and let them become stray dogs, which makes their food source very unstable and their feeding time irregular. Today I’m going to tell you how long is the best interval between puppy feedings.

1. Puppies before three months old

The digestive system of puppies at this period is relatively fragile, so the owner should pay attention to the amount of feeding, and adopt the principle of small and frequent meals when feeding. It is recommended to feed four times a day, with an interval of about 5 hours between each time. Generally, the times can be considered at 7 am, 12 noon, 5 pm, and 10 pm.

2. Puppies aged three to six months

After the dog is three months old, it can be fed three times a day, with an interval of about 5-6 hours each time, at 8 a.m., between 12 and 2 noon, and around 8 p.m. During this period, it is best to eat regularly and quantitatively to develop a good eating habit for your dog.

3. One-year-old puppy

After the dog reaches adulthood, it only needs to be fed twice a day. The time is once in the morning and once around five o'clock in the afternoon. Once a routine is formed, do not change the time casually.

Note: When feeding dogs, be sure not to feed them too much at one time, because dogs are different from cats. When dogs encounter something they like to eat, they will eat it all at once, which will increase the burden on their gastrointestinal tract. The specific feeding amount can be quantified according to the dog's weight.
