Don’t be a fool, not all dogs need to wear clothes!

When the weather cools down, many pet owners will add new clothes to their dogs. In fact, the hair on the dog's body can prevent the cold air, so you don't need to put clothes on the dog. Sometimes I really feel it is a bit redundant, and I don't know what the mentality of putting clothes on the dog is. In fact, it is completely unnecessary.

These dogs don’t need clothes!

1. Medium and large dogs

Generally, large dogs have better cold tolerance than small dogs. Because their bodies have a thick layer of fat and are very capable of regulating body temperature, they basically don’t need to wear clothes.

If they usually wear clothes, it is actually easy for their hair to get tangled, and it may even affect the dog's own body temperature regulation system.

If you are in the humid south and wear clothes, your hair will not even breathe, and it may easily cause skin diseases.

2. Cold-resistant dogs

There are some dogs that originally live in cold places with more than ten degrees below zero, such as sled dogs, Tibetan mastiffs, etc. They are born with thicker hair, and for them, the cold here is simply child's play.

So dressing them is an act of "self-indulgence" and will only make them uncomfortable.

These dogs need clothes!

Stop being so “sentimental”, not all dogs need to wear clothes!

1. Small dogs

Generally speaking, small dogs are smaller in size and have less fat storage, so they are much inferior to large dogs in cold resistance. They should be properly dressed to help keep them warm and avoid catching colds.

2. Dogs with colds

When dogs are sick, they are weak and often lie on the ground, unwilling to move. If the floor is cold, the condition may be aggravated.

For sick dogs, in addition to preparing a comfortable nest for them, you should also put them in clothes to keep them warm, so that the dogs can get better quickly.

3. Pregnant dogs

When a mother dog has a baby dog in her body, her body will become extremely weak. At this time, we need extra care. Once she catches a cold, it may affect the health of the mother dog and her baby.

For the safety and health of the mother dog and her baby, you must pay attention to the physical condition of the mother dog and try to wear looser and warmer clothes for her.

4. Elderly Dogs

Older dogs are generally in poor physical condition and are afraid of cold, and their hair will become very thin. When the temperature is low, they are more likely to catch colds, so it is best for owners to put clothes on them to ensure their health.
